Digital product Discord card template

Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy will not let you inject a server-rendered component-embed script. Discord will still unfurl whatever URL you paste — so host the card, and paste that.

Digital product Discord card template

Field Notes pack — $19

A Notion kit for shipping in public. Paste this hosted URL into Discord; the Buy button is a real link.

Who this is for

  • People selling digital goods through Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, or Payhip
  • Creators who sell in their own community and want checkout on the preview

Reach for it when: Notion kits, icon packs, themes, presets — anything sold on a host that will not inject Discord tags.

Why Gumroad pages need this

A Gumroad link in Discord renders as a cover image and a product name. Buying requires someone to click through, load the page, and find the button — in a channel where they were only half paying attention.

A component embed puts the price in the title and checkout on the card. Paste it next to the Gumroad link or instead of it; the destination is the same checkout either way.

Price in the title, not the body

Titles render larger and survive truncation better. “Field Notes pack — $12” does the work; a price buried in the third line of a description does not.

That also makes the recrawl useful later: edit the title to “$12 — 40 left” during a restock and every existing paste picks it up.

One thing that does not work

You cannot link component-embed JSON hosted on tinycord.com from a page on your own domain. Linked JSON has to be same-site and under 3,000 bytes — cross-site references are rejected outright.

So the choice is genuinely binary: paste the hosted Tinycord URL, or inline the script on a site you actually server-render. There is no third option where Gumroad borrows our JSON.

The same template, other jobs

  • Back in stock — 40 left

Edit the count on this same URL when inventory moves. Discord picks it up on the next recrawl.

Same template as a restock, with the count in the title.

Common questions

Will Discord flag a card with a Buy button as a scam?
Buttons pointing at ordinary https checkout pages are fine. What gets domains denylisted is nitro and gift-card language — Tinycord blocks that copy before a slug is created.
Can I put the checkout link straight in Discord instead?
You can, and you will get the host's Open Graph tile. The card exists to add the price and the button, and to let you edit both later without re-posting.
