Waitlist Discord card template

Waitlist cards work because the number is part of the preview. “2,401 in line” does more persuading than the landing page it links to — and it renders before anyone clicks.

Harbor waitlist — 2,401 in line

A billing API for studios that ship on Discord. Edit this count on the same link whenever you want.

Who this is for

  • Founders running a closed beta out of a Discord server
  • Anyone whose signup page is on a host that will not let them edit head HTML

Reach for it when: Closed betas, indie SaaS queues, and any list where the number itself is the pitch.

Put the number where people read it

A waitlist link in Discord normally unfurls as your landing page's Open Graph tile: a hero image and a tagline. The count — the one piece of social proof you have — stays behind the click.

Import the landing page, put the count in the title, and add Join waitlist plus Share. When the queue moves, edit the title on the same slug and let the recrawl carry it.

Hosted link versus copied script

The copied script tag is a snapshot. It freezes the count into whatever HTML you pasted it into, and it only changes when you edit that page and someone pastes the link again.

If you expect the number to move, use the hosted link. If your signup page is server-rendered on your own domain and the count is generated there anyway, the script is the better fit.

Common questions

Can the count update automatically?
Not on the card itself — Discordbot reads static HTML and does not run JavaScript. You edit the number, and Discord picks it up on its next crawl, about 30 minutes later.
What if my signup page is on Carrd or Framer?
That is the case the hosted card exists for. Those hosts will not let you inject a server-rendered component-embed script, so you paste the Tinycord URL and point Join waitlist at your signup page.
